Correction of Increased Higher-Order Aberrations after LASEK by Using Orthokeratology Lens

Abstract
Purpose: To report a single case of orthokeratology lenses to reduce higher-order aberrations in a patient complaining of glare after laser epithelial keratomileusis (LASEK).

Case summary: A 28-year-old female patient who had undergone bilateral LASEK a year earlier complained of blurring in both eyes. Examination indicated that the increased bilateral higher-order aberrations that had increased after LASEK; these were reduced using orthokeratology lenses.

Conclusions: Higher-order aberrations that increased after refractive correction surgery were reduced using orthokeratology lenses, and herein we report their potential clinical application.
